Apache
Apache is robust, fully featured, and open source HTTP (Web) server application. Apache is the process that serves all website pages hosted with Positive Fusion.
BIND
BIND is used as our DNS server. The DNS server is the application that translates your domain name to the IP address. BIND is critical, as without it domain names would not resolve (point) to the correct location.
Pure-FTPD
Pure-FTPD is a secure, standards compliant FTP server. FTP is used to transfer files between your personal computer and Positive Fusion.
MySQL
MySQL is a powerful and efficient database server.
Exim
Exim is used as our MTA. All email to and from Positive Fusion is processed by Exim.
PHP
PHP is a widely used general-purpose scripting language fully supported by Positive Fusion.
Perl
Perl is a stable, cross-platform programming language. Apache uses both mod_perl and mod_cgi modules to embed the Perl interpreter into html pages and process Perl (CGI) scripts.
cPanel
cPanel is our client-side control panel. Through cPanel clients have access to all aspects of their Positive Fusion hosting account.
